日本のアーティスト・表ひろあきは、古来の精神性と現代美術を融合させた独自の世界観「ネオ・ジャパネスク」を確立し、国内外で高く評価されている。幼少より修験道・古神道の教えを受け、伝統の中に息づく「祈り」や「調和」を造形として昇華させる作品を数多く発表しています。 日本では『徹子の部屋』をはじめ多くのメディアに出演し、精神文化と芸術の融合を体現する希有なアーティストとして注目を集める。海外でも、イタリアやフランスなどで展覧会や奉納公演を行い、英国の名門美術館 ヴィクトリア＆アルバート博物館（Victoria and Albert Museum） に作品を展示・寄贈するなど、国際的にも高い評価を得ている。さらに、日本国内でも発行されている現地のファッション誌『LEON（レオン）』では特集が組まれ、伝統とモードを横断する独自のスタイルが紹介された。 2025年10月にはスペイン・バルセロナの世界遺産 カタルーニャ音楽堂（Palau de la Música Catalana） にて新作《鳳龍（ほうりゅう）》を発表。これまでにない技法で表独自の意匠を施した輪島塗を披露し、観客を魅了した。また、同時期に開催された モンセラット修道院の千年祭 では、《鳳龍》を纏い、自身が手がけた輪島塗とお面による世界平和の祈願を奉納。その祈りの儀式を通して、作品は単なる美術品を超えた「精神と芸術の象徴」としてさらなる価値を高めた。 表博耀の作品は、伝統工芸、祈りの儀式、そして現代アートの融合によって「美と魂の再生」をテーマに展開されており、その活動はまさに日本文化の未来を切り拓く象徴的存在である。
Japanese artist Hiroaki Omote has established his own unique aesthetic world, “Neo-Japanesque,” which fuses ancient spirituality with contemporary art, earning him high acclaim both in Japan and abroad. Having studied the teachings of Shugendō and Koshintō since childhood, Omote has created numerous works that elevate the traditional Japanese concepts of “prayer” and “harmony” into sculptural expressions. In Japan, he has appeared on various major media platforms, including Tetsuko’s Room, and is widely recognized as a rare artist who embodies the fusion of spiritual culture and fine art. Internationally, his exhibitions and dedication performances in countries such as Italy and France have drawn significant attention. His works have also been exhibited and donated to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, one of the world’s most prestigious art institutions. Furthermore, he was featured in the renowned fashion magazine LEON, which highlighted his distinctive style that transcends the boundaries between tradition and modernity. In October 2025, Omote presented his new work “Hōryū (Phoenix Dragon)” at the Palau de la Música Catalana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Barcelona, Spain. The piece showcased Wajima lacquer decorated with Omote’s signature motifs, created using an unprecedented technique that captivated audiences. Around the same time, during the millennial celebration of Montserrat Monastery, he performed a prayer ritual for world peace, wearing Hōryū and his own handcrafted Wajima lacquer mask. Through this sacred performance, the work transcended the realm of mere art to become a symbol of spirit and beauty united. Omote’s creations — blending traditional craftsmanship, ritual prayer, and contemporary art — explore the theme of “the rebirth of beauty and soul.” His artistic journey stands as a powerful symbol of how Japanese culture continues to evolve and illuminate the future.
